This Month’s Hike: Saturday 7/31, 10am - 2.5 mile Centennial Trail Spokane River Hike (with a wading/swimming picnic break in the middle!)

Bring wading/swimming friendly clothing and footwear if you want to get wet, and perhaps some picnic lunch/snacks in addition to your water bottle. The water is quite calm where we’re going, but the bottom is rocky and slippery (tightly strapped sandals are great). We will meet at Spokane Falls Community College, in a back parking lot near the corner of W. Elliot Drive and Mitchell Drive (here’s a Google Maps Link). DIRECTIONS: From Whistalks Way (formerly Ft. George Wright Drive), turn West onto Elliott Drive. By West we mean this: if you just drove past SFCC, turn left on Elliott; if you just crossed over the TJ Meenach Bridge, turn right on Elliott). Drive 0.3 miles on Elliott and take your first possible righthand turn into the parking lot. You’ll see Ross’s black pickup truck there.
