BARTON ENGLISH LANGUAGE SCHOOL
WHO WE ARE
We are a non-profit organization comprised of educational professionals and experienced volunteers who are dedicated to walking through the language learning process with students. We strive to foster an environment of safety and belonging for the international community of Spokane. Our teachers use a variety of instructional approaches to match the diverse needs of language learners. We primarily focus on teaching English that adult students will encounter during their daily lives.

We are now closed for the summer and will begin again in the fall.
If you are interested in joining us as a volunteer teacher, please join our volunteer workshop on August 28th at 10am in room 212 of Barton/FPC. And please RSVP (beckyr@spokanefpc.org) to let Becky know you will be joining us.
If you are an English Language student, please join us on September 4th at 9am. Simply, “Show up” and we will introduce you to our classes and tutors at that time.

9:00-9:25 English Warm Up in the Fireside Room
9:30-10:15 One-On-One Tutoring & Learning Groups
10:15-10:30 Break Time (Tea, Coffee, Treats and Conversation in the Fireside Room)
10:30-11:30 One-On-One Tutoring & Learning Groups
We offer free childcare for ages 0-5 upon request.
