The Struggle is Real: Approaches to Conflict in Relationships
Facilitated by Dr. Joy York

Nov 17 - Dec 1 … Fireside Room

Conflict is an inevitable part of our relationships with co-workers, friends, and family. The quality of our relationships depends not on whether or not we have conflict, but on our responses during times of conflict. While it can be difficult to manage at times, conflict offers us the opportunity to work with others toward deeper understanding and for peace. In this interactive 3-week series, we will examine how to address conflict from a biblical perspective and research in this area, and offer practical conflict management skills that you can use in your relationships.

Dr. Joy York is an Associate Professor in Communication Studies at Whitworth University. Her teaching and research focus on the practice of communication in leadership, relationships, and in organizations. When she is not teaching, Dr. York partners with local non-profit, for-profit and civic organizations to facilitate training and consulting initiatives that focus on organizational & leadership development.
