Conversations 2024
We are engaged in a series of conversations about how we relate as a church to our LGBTQ siblings in Christ. Below are three buttons that link to more information about this conversation. The first is a link to a letter from Pastor John that explains why we have chosen these conversations in 2024. Second is a link to how our current conversation fits in the history of conversations we have had on issues of sexuality in relationship to the church. The third button is a link to a video. In this video Derek Taylor, one of our elders, gives perspective about how this conversation began at the Session level. Also, Brenda Burger, our Clerk of Session, provides understanding of the guidelines of our Book of Order.
Conversation (Option 2)
Sunday, March 24 @ 11am – Conversation (Option 2)
If you weren’t able to participate in the conversations on the 2 books we read together, or you just want hear more, you are invited to join us for this conversation. Please use the links below to watch a video we recommend before this Sunday. We hope this will help us come into the conversation with some understanding of different perspectives so we are able to listen well to one another.
This video is a 'debate' between Preston Sprinkle (traditional) and Justin Lee (affirming). They are both well respected and the tone of the 'debate' is really wonderful. Part 1 is their conversation. Part 2 is a time of Q & A following the conversation.
Conversation (Option 1)

Please plan on attending both evenings.
